Jake Douglas, APNP

My name is Jake, and I am a Nurse Practitioner at ADVENT. I pursued a medical career because I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body functions and the opportunity to constantly learn appealed to me. I chose the field of ENT due to a first-hand experience with my wife’s sinus issues. I was able to witness the improvements in her quality of life, and I wanted to be a part of making that difference for others.

When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family. I have two small children, and we like to go on bike rides together on the Des Plaines River Trail. My wife and I enjoy date nights at Los Cantaritos, where I always order brisket tacos. Something interesting about me, I have two aquariums in my home with tropical fish.
