Nice to Meet You

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing patients, whether we were able to treat them medically or surgically, and watching the smile on their face, knowing that their quality of life has improved, and their symptoms have resolved. It truly makes me appreciate what I do every day.

Hello, my name is Dr. Steve Hunyadi, and I am a Sinus and Sleep Surgeon at ADVENT. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where I developed a deep appreciation for science and medicine as the first in my family to attend college. After earning my medical degree at Case Western Reserve University, I discovered my passion for ENT during my surgical training, drawn to its hands-on nature and the opportunity to make a real difference in patients’ lives. Over the years, I’ve focused my career on nose, sinus, and upper-airway solutions, a natural fit given my lifelong experience with allergies and sinus issues.

At ADVENT, I’m proud to specialize in minimally invasive, office-based procedures that address concerns within The Breathing Triangle®—the nose and throat. These simple, effective solutions are designed to maximize results while minimizing risks and downtime, allowing patients to experience life-changing improvements.

When you come to see me, my goal is to create a welcoming and collaborative environment where you feel truly heard. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan to help resolve your symptoms, improve your sleep, and enhance your quality of life. It’s an honor to help patients breathe freely, sleep better, and feel like themselves again.

All the staff were knowledgeable and kind. Any potential costs to me where up front and detailed. Proceeded with treatment and resolved my breathing issues after a short recovery. Very happy with the results. Sleep better, walk not getting winded and better quality of life in general.

It's nice to have an open airway! You don't know how bad it is until after the procedure is done. Highly recommend.

One of the most knowledgeable, helpful and empathic healthcare professionals that I’ve met in years. She was clear giving directions and also in stating what may be the next steps to take, I was very pleased with her professional manner and her human caring

More About Me

Outside of work, I cherish time with my family and enjoy exploring new places through travel. One of my favorite memories is taking my mother back to Hungary, where my parents emigrated from, to reconnect with our family roots. I also love staying active—pickleball has become my new go-to hobby, though hockey still holds a special place in my heart. My family’s passion for the sport runs deep, from my kids’ competitive play to our holiday tradition of watching a Blue Jackets game together.
