Nice to Meet You

The first job I have, and really the only job a physician has, is to listen… if you listen well enough, they’ll tell you what their problem is.

Hi, I’m Dr. Doug Dawson, a Sinus and Snoring Surgeon at ADVENT. I grew up in Burbank, California, and my path to medicine started early, working as a lab courier and asking questions everywhere I went. I’ve always loved science and figuring things out—medicine just felt like the perfect fit. I trained in ENT at the University of Iowa, stayed on staff there, and have spent more than 20 years caring for patients in Iowa and Montana. I’m excited to be back closer to home and part of the innovative team at ADVENT.

What drew me to ENT—and keeps me passionate about it—is the chance to make a real difference in how people breathe, sleep, and feel. I’m also board-certified in sleep medicine, and I love helping patients connect the dots between nasal health and their overall well-being.

At ADVENT, we keep things simple and effective. Gone are the days of long recoveries—our in-office procedures are cutting-edge, with minimal downtime and maximum results. I take pride in listening first, explaining things clearly, and partnering with you to find the right path forward.

I look forward to meeting you at ADVENT!

All the staff were knowledgeable and kind. Any potential costs to me where up front and detailed. Proceeded with treatment and resolved my breathing issues after a short recovery. Very happy with the results. Sleep better, walk not getting winded and better quality of life in general.

It's nice to have an open airway! You don't know how bad it is until after the procedure is done. Highly recommend.

One of the most knowledgeable, helpful and empathic healthcare professionals that I’ve met in years. She was clear giving directions and also in stating what may be the next steps to take, I was very pleased with her professional manner and her human caring
