Nice to Meet You
Hello, my name is Dr. Mark Williams, and I am a sinus and sleep surgeon at ADVENT.
I’m originally from Cincinnati and completed the Physician Scientist Training Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where I earned both my M.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Cell Biophysics. My doctoral research on neutrophil-mediated inflammation received national recognition and earned me fellowships from the Association for Academic Minority Physicians and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
After completing my residency in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, I moved to Nashville, where I founded the Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists of Nashville. I also served as Division Chief of Otolaryngology at Meharry Medical College and as an Adjunct Associate Professor for more than ten years.
In addition to my surgical career, I’ve pursued a lifelong passion for music as both a singer and songwriter. I recorded two award-winning albums and founded the Voice Care Center of Nashville, where I provided specialized care to professional and performance voice users.
