Yasmina Ahmed, MD
Otolaryngology — Board-Certified ENT
Nice to Meet You
My name is Dr. Yasmina Ahmed, and I am a Sinus and Sleep Surgeon at ADVENT. I decided to pursue a medical career after witnessing my father having a heart attack when I was a young child. I realized then how important life is, which gave me the desire to care for and improve people’s lives. I chose the field of ENT because of the connection to our daily lives – breathing, sleeping, smelling – there are many areas for impactful improvements.
I chose to practice at ADVENT for many reasons, but the main reason is our innovative approach to helping people sleep and breathe better. Patients are often surprised to learn that their snoring issues may come from the nose. That is why the first step we take at ADVENT is to look at The Breathing Triangle® – which encompasses your two nostrils and mouth. Once we address your nose, you will find everything works better, and you can spend more time and energy doing the things you love.
As my patient, you and I will be on a team to improve your breathing. I want to ensure that you feel heard and you know you can trust me to help you feel better. Every morning on my way to work, I ask myself, “How can I help someone today?”. It is my honor to be able to change your life for the better. I want to give you the ability to redirect your energy toward your passions and spending time with the people you love.

More About Me
A little bit about me, I am half Korean and half Pakistani. To me, delivering racially diverse and culturally competent patient care is of the utmost importance. I prefer to spend my free time with my family. My husband and I love to bike outside whenever we get the chance. I have also traveled to over 30 countries and aspire to travel to them all. My fun fact is that I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes.
