ABOUT ME

My name is MaKensie, and I am a Physician Assistant at ADVENT. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s PA program in December 2018 and started working as a physician assistant shortly after that. I practiced in psychiatry for 3.5 years after graduation before transitioning to my role here. I have a strong passion for mental health and its relation to quality breathing and sleeping.

I am a southern Wisconsin native and a huge Wisconsin sports fan. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, preferably doing some sort of outdoor activity. We love to hit up local breweries and attend live music events. My favorite binge-worthy tv shows are Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, and Parks and Rec. I enjoy going to movies at the theaters, shopping, and drinking overpriced coffee despite the expensive coffee maker I have at home.

I chose to work at ADVENT because I know first-hand how vital breathing well is for our overall health from both personal and professional experiences. When patients come to see me, I want them to feel comfortable, heard, and respected. The best feeling ever for me is when a patient shares that they didn’t know they could feel this good, energized, and happy.
