Nice to Meet You
Hi, I’m Gwen Griffin, your ADVENT Physician Assistant. My journey to medicine was quite unique; I initially pursued a career as a chemist, developing construction adhesives. However, I realized that working in a lab wasn’t fulfilling for me, and I wanted to make a real impact on people’s lives. After returning to school for my medical education while juggling jobs for experience, I found my way into PA school and eventually joined ADVENT.
I chose this field because I love connecting with patients and addressing their health concerns. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is when patients say, “Thank you, that helped.” It’s incredibly gratifying to shed light on long-standing issues and improve their quality of life.
When patients come to see me, I want them to feel heard and understood. I know many people feel disregarded in healthcare, and I strive to create an open environment where no concern is too small. I believe in advocating for my patients and tailoring care to meet their individual needs.

More About Me
Outside of work, my life is consumed by my two young children, but we cherish our time outdoors—whether it’s family walks with our border collie, Bailey, and pug, Calvin, or visiting the local parks. Living along a bike path has introduced me to the unique culture of Milwaukee’s beer gardens, which has become a favorite spot for family outings.
