It’s one thing living with a stuffy nose, but it’s entirely another when it also runs like a leaky faucet. A sneezy, itchy, constantly running nose may have you dreading allergy season but we’re here to tell you it’s unnecessary. Just like you would restart your computer when it glitches, nasal cryotherapy effectively restarts and resets the overactive nerves in your nose that cause these symptoms. This in-office procedure will freeze the nerve in your nose that causes chronic rhinitis, providing long-lasting relief1, without any downtime. It's fast, convenient, and offers the ultimate liberation: the ability to breathe freely through your nose.
What is nasal cryotherapy & how does it work?
If your nose is either always running or always stuffy, it means the lining in your nose is overactive. You may find relief from simple 60 second in-office procedures: Nasal Cryotherapy or Nasal Nerve Ablation. We use a small probe to quickly freeze and reset the overactive nerves, interrupting the signals in your nose that tell it to run, drip, or swell.
What to expect:
- A local anesthetic is applied to the area of the nerve inside your nose.
- A small, freezing applicator is inserted into the nostril, along with an endoscope.
- The cooling agent is applied to the imbalanced nerve for 60 seconds.
- There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. While you may experience some slight pressure and a cooling sensation, the treatment is not painful.
