"The best feeling is hearing my patients saying how great they feel each week after their procedure. It's amazing the immediate impact a simple procedure can have on someone's quality of life."
ADVENT’s unique approach to medical care is right in line with Andrew Van Bruggen, DO’s philosophy of providing tailored solutions to meet his patient’s personal goals.
Dr. Van Bruggen earned his MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and his DO from Des Moines University. During his ENT residency at Freeman Health in Joplin, MO, he was recognized for his academic research accomplishments while deepening his expertise in solving sleep and sinus issues.
Dr. Van Bruggen is driven by a patient-first mentality and enjoys building relationships with his patients. He understands that listening to his patient's unique issues and concerns is the best way to design a successful care plan for them.
When Dr. Van Bruggen isn’t working you can find him outside, regardless of the season. He enjoys staying active by biking, skiing, playing hockey, snowmobiling, or just exploring nature with his family.

What can I expect on my first visit?
At your first visit, we'll focus on finding the facts with an exam to ensure we understand the root of your issue. We'll talk with you about your goals and design a plan specific to you. ADVENT is the only ENT clinic that provides you with a complete Breathing Triangle Evaluation.
Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?
Most insurance does not require a referral. If yours does, we can let you know.
How can I check to see if my insurance is in-network?
Easy! Check our in-network insurance list: Wisconsin | Illinois | Indiana | Minnesota
If you're still not sure, call us and we'll help you sort it out: 888.938.3838
How long does recovery take?
Most patients experience very little (if any) downtime. You can resume normal activity on the day of the procedure depending on how you're feeling. You may feel like you have a slight cold the day after your procedure. It is recommended to avoid any excessive or strenuous activity for 48 hours after the procedure.
How is ADVENT different than other clinics?
One of the many reasons patients choose us is because we have a 99.7% referral rate. We also do something no other ENT clinic does: we give our patients a complete Breathing Triangle Evaluation. This evaluation is unique to ADVENT and puts a 100% focus on your airway issues. This allows us to get to the root of your snoring or sinus issue. The Breathing Triangle Evaluation has helped over 31,000 ADVENT patients breathe and sleep better.
