"One Mile is that place where heroes inspire leaders, leaders inspire action, and action is created to make positive change in the world."

This group of ultra cyclists is on a race to inspire positive action across America.

Team One Mile is hitting the road…on two wheels! This group of ultra cyclists - made up of veterans and active-duty military members, Olympians, and professional athletes - are driven by their vision to create a message of hope, inspiration, and action. They are embarking on their next big challenge, the Race Across America, a non-stop trek that spans over 3,000 miles, climbs 175,000 feet, and will take them across 12 states, from California to Maryland.

ADVENT is proud to support Team One Mile. This hand-picked, proactive group of military and athlete leaders, leads by example, shows support, and inspires others to take action in their own communities. Together, they're growing awareness for veterans who are suffering in silence from invisible mental health illnesses, such as PTSD, addiction, suicidal ideation, and more.

Members of Team One Mile, including an Olympic Gold Medalist, a retired NFL player, an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force, and other athletes sat down to chat with ADVENT's Co-Founder, Gwen Kandula, and Nurse Practitioner Matt Peters. The group discusses not only the importance of supporting others through action but also how better breathing and optimal sleeping enhance their physical performance and everyday lives.
