When Madan Kandula, MD, and Gwen Kandula, AuD, set out on a journey to practice their passion of Otolaryngology and Audiology, they had no idea of the road ahead. Faced with a new city, no patients, competing practices and the shadow of big box healthcare, building what is now ADVENT has not come without determination, perseverance and a mission to treat others in a way they want to be treated.
The Beginning
ADVENT began as a small independent practice, operating with three employees out of a single location. Formally known as Advanced Ear Nose and Throat Specialists S.C., the Kandulas saw patients with general ENT and hearing concerns.
Building ADVENT
About 10 years into their practice, the Kandulas started to see their practice blossom. Finding that more and more people were not getting the treatment they deserved from the big box model of healthcare, they expanded their practice to three locations and entire team of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and dedicated patient caregivers.

After years of practicing under the name Advanced Ear Nose & Throat Specialists S.C, the Kandulas unveiled a new logo, website, jingle and tagline for what we now know as ADVENT in 2018.
This new focus set the tone for a dramatically different approach to healthcare. By narrowing the focus to sinus and sleep solutions, it allowed for the team to genuinely listen to patients’ concerns and get them out of the cycle of frustration and temporary fixes by getting to the root of the issue.
Following this new model of care, ADVENT added three additional locations and is now operating in with six locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Illinois, and with 140 team members.
