Given the cold and snow this winter, our hearts can't help but go out to all of those people who may not have a home. In hopes of lending a helping hand, our Culture Advisory Committee (comprised of one team member from each department with the intention of providing a voice to help guide the organization) brainstormed on how we could make at least one day easier and better for this group in need. The result was a commitment to take our giving back philosophy a step further and establish teams to make bag meals weekly between January and March to help support the Street Angels mission.

If you are not familiar with Street Angels, it is an organization in Milwaukee that provides advocacy, shelter and street outreach to those who are homeless within the community. The street outreach really spoke to our team as they are often the first to respond to those in a homeless crisis - often like we are the first to provide real relief to people suffering from nose, sinus, snoring and sleep apnea problems.
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evening, the Street Angels team takes to the street to distribute food, water, clothing, hygiene items, blankets and other needed items to Milwaukee County's homeless population. Our team has made it a priority to take time out of their day to make bag meals and deliver them to the Street Angels for delivery that night. Upon conclusion we will have made over 415 bag meals!

We realize life can get busy, which keeps many of us from donating despite our desire to give back to those who are less fortunate. If you are interested in supporting Milwaukee County's homeless community but don't have the time and want to make sure your donation goes directly to those in need, Street Angels has created a wish list with items available for purchase on Amazon or Walmart. Like Vincent Van Gogh once said...
