Fighting ADVENT

Health insurance is complex, overwhelming and at times even frustrating. When it comes to needing medical care or prescriptions, why is it that the first question to pop into your mind is, “Will my insurance cover this?”

It’s the insurance game that has you conditioned to put the insurance company’s needs first. And, you’re not alone.

At ADVENT, we work hard to fight for your right to affordable healthcare, but as an independent medical practice we’re also at the hand of the insurances we partner with. While your sinus and sleep concerns are keeping you up at night, insurance coverage and the cost of your procedure shouldn’t.

If insurance doesn’t have you covered, ADVENT does. We offer 24 -month payment plans for those who do not have insurance coverage or those simply wanting to bypass their insurance in effort to expedite their treatment plan. We understand the value of insurance for you and have a team dedicated to help every step of the way, here's how:

  1. Taking Action

Oftentimes, a provider may need to request approval from your insurance company before prescribing a treatment or medication. The treatment or prescription will only be covered if your insurance thinks its necessary. If there are any prior authorizations to be met prior to a procedure, ADVENT takes the necessary steps and communicates every step of the process.

We take convenience a step further by taking any pre-requisites out of the equation, so you don't need a referral to see one of our providers.

  1. “Step Therapy”

Insurance companies often require you to try a cheaper drug or treatment option before agreeing to cover a more complex, more expensive alternative, known as "Step Therapy." The insurance company, then, will only cover a more complex treatment option if the first option "fails."

At ADVENT, we strive to provide a permanent solution to your sinus and sleep concerns. With an evaluation of The Breathing Triangle®, we get a good look at your anatomy to get to the root of those concerns. We know that weeks of antibiotics aren't a solution for you, but the insurance companies require it.

  1. Complete Transparency

Plain and simple, insurance companies and medical manufactures set the price for a procedure or medication. We understand that our listed fees for our medical treatment options are not cheap, but they are a byproduct of the insurance partnerships. We believe in complete transparency with you at the first level of patient care.

  1. Bridging the Gap

Our team goes above and beyond to contact your insurance company to make sure all services are medically necessary. We'll take the time to write letters, schedule a peer-to-peer review and provide you with all of the necessary information that correlates to the recommended services, so you can get coverage and the most accurate cost.

At the end of the day, maintaining healthcare coverage is important because it ensures you’re not paying 100% out-of-pocket for your medical needs. While ADVENT can’t make the premiums, deductibles, or endless frustration of understanding your insurance go away, we can certainly help you get the relief you’re looking for.
